I am totally stoked about this day’s challenge! As a proud owner of three little tykes, I am constantly stepping on an Angry Bird or tripping over a semi-finished craft project. We actually paid a $125 plumbing bill to get two My Little Ponies professionally dislodged from a toilet last year. The funniest part was the plumber knew it was Rainbow Dash-he must have had daughters! (No one fessed up to it, but I have my suspect…that amount might get removed from their college savings fund! Kidding.) The ponies just needed a home. In fact, all of our toys need a home.
The problem is, so many containers geared towards toy storage are plastic and are in primary color tones. Instead, look for something that integrates into YOUR décor. Toy storage doesn’t need to scream “kids live here!” The most effective toy storage is in every room of the house, not just the kiddo’s rooms. Believe me, I would love ANY of these containers sitting next to my sofa!
Aren’t these just gorgeous? I may not save these just for toys….I’m also thinking office storage, blankets, and more! My favorite is #2-I love that it is on wheels! If your kids are anything like mine, the play does not contain itself to just one room, but may continue from room to room to room…you get it. I can just image my little guy pushing this storage on wheels around to pick up all of his toys, I think he could actually get into cleaning if it involved running and pushing a basket.
And here are some inspirations about what you can do with your new found storage baskets!
**I have even specified this blue and white basket for a GROWN UP client, I love it!
Since I have two girls and a boy, I only have about a million bedroom and playroom ideas on my Pinterest boards…I’ll even share them with you. Just like we teach our kids to share. Kids who will love using these storage containers ALMOST as much as their parents.
See you tomorrow when we talk about the jewel of a room…light fixtures!
