Coastal Bedroom + Boho Bathroom Makeover
Welcome back to Week #2 of the One Room Challenge! This is my fifth time participating in this bi-annual Design Challenge sponsored by Calling It Home. And this time around I’m tacking my very own (much neglected) Master Suite. For Week #2 I’m going to share the plans of my Super Budget Friendly Bathroom Makeover (I have a $950 budget to do it ALL). But first….Last week I unveiled the plan for the Master Bedroom portion of the makeover. If you missed it, you can check out all of the details right here:

Modern Boho Bathroom Makeover Inspirations
So what should this Navy Boho Bathroom Mini Makeover look like?
I jumped onto Pinterest to make my very own board for my bathroom makeover. I found some modern bathrooms with mostly neutral colors, and a pop of navy. While I’m keeping my existing floor and tile, this bathroom below also has neutral tile with modern pops of warm woods to it:
I am planning on keeping my existing white cabinets and off-white counter top. However, with the white walls and white tile everywhere, my bathroom is as boring as you can get. So I know I want to paint my existing cabinets a deep navy color like this bathroom:

I love the combination of the white counter top, glossy navy cabinets, and modern rectangle mirror. And I think my hubby will appreciate a slightly more masculine look! I’m a traditional girl so I’m going with polished nickel finishes (like this faucet) for my own bathroom.

$950 Budget Boho Bathroom Mini Makeover
To save money and time I’m only doing a mini makeover of my bathroom. I’m going to keep the existing:
Countertop
Cabinets
Tile Shower and Door
Bathtub and Tile Surround
Tile Floor
So that leaves simple, inexpensive cosmetic changes to make big changes in this bathroom space.
Here is the existing bathroom as it is now:
The existing countertop isn’t my favorite, but it IS off-white and neutral. So I’m planning on keeping the existing top and cabinets, but paint the cabinets a glossy navy. I’m also going to swap out the hardware for something more polished. I’m also planning on changing out those outdated crystal faucets with something updated. And those two different sized mirrors have to go!
Luckily the tile on the floors, shower, and tub are very neutral. Maybe someday we will swap it all out, but for now I’ll keep them and work around it.
Budget Boho Bathroom Remodel Plans
So what are the big plans for the Bathroom Mini Makeover? My teeny $950 budget is going to go towards inexpensive updates that will hopefully make a big difference:
Paint the existing cabinets a glossy “Hale Navy” paint
Add in polished nickel cabinet hardware
Change out the faucets for updated polished chrome faucets
Add (2) modern mirrors
Paint the walls a crisp white
Add in decorative elements: runner, artwork, decorative tray
No construction projects, no tools, no major remodel. Everything I’m going to going to be strictly cosmetic and easy breezy!

Kelly, You are too kind! I’ve been an interior designer for awhile now, but with three kiddos at home ,and one with special needs, I had to figure out a way to do what I loved while working around my kiddos’s schedules (every Mama’s balance!) and I have fallen in LOVE with doing E-Design for my clients. And I love YOUR blog as well-one more reason I love ORC, I get to find amazingly talented women! I can’t wait to see how your project turns out at the end of the six weeks 🙂
