Luxe Neutral Bedroom Design
Hi there! Thanks for hanging out with me today, where today we are getting comfy and cozy…and talking luxe neutral bedroom design. Like everything I do, this was designed 100% via Interior E-Design…for my fabulous California client, designed via me…on my sofa in Michigan!
I adored working with this client-we did five different rooms together, one-by-one working through her whole home. And today I wanted to share her Primary Bedroom Design. Plus I’m sharing my tips for a luxe Bedroom Design that makes you feel like a fancy pants hotel room!
6 Luxe Neutral Bedroom Design Ideas to Make You Feel Like a Hotel Guest
1.Use an upholstered headboard: I love the soft and cozy feel of an upholstered headboard, it gives you a chance to add color or texture, and it is a lot more cozy for those TV watching nights. I loved this one from Studio McGee for my client’s bedroom!
2. Go luxe with your sheets. You spend 8 hours a night in them, so go soft and luxurious. When in doubt, go all white for your sheets to feel like a luxe hotel (plus it works with everything).
3. Work in Layers. Yep, you need sheets and a comforter (Items #3 and #4). But don’t stop there. Layer on texture and pattern with a quilt/coverlet (#8) at the end of the bed, bed pillows, and accent pillows (#13 and #14).
4. Decorate your Nightstands. I used a pair of these Pottery Barn lamps (#9) on each side table, but we also created a “His” and “Her” side with vases, books, frames, and a dish to corral jewelry.
5. Add in seating. For this bedroom I added a Pottery Barn armchair (#25) and a Serena and Lily bench (#29) for different options.
6. Layer on the curtains. Well tailored curtains (#19 and #20) always make a room feel luxe, but they are especially important in a bedroom. If it was my room, I would always choose the light blocking options to help with those sleep in Saturdays…
