The Woodland Theme is HOT right now….I’ve seen it from birthday parties, cottage decor, and even on my neighbor’s daughter’s leggings this morning! But this would make the perfect theme for a new little boy nursery. You can simply change out the crib to a bed and keep it just as is for his “big boy” room. I love the bright playful colors but it also doesn’t scream “baby”. Keep the walls neutral-a light gray or tan color, and let these woodsy elements shine through.
Want to adapt it for a little girl? Check out my next post where we do a girly-girl twist on the theme!
ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT NINE
ONE: These great prints started the the theme for this room, you can frame them in rustic wood frames
TWO: Mr. Fox is sophisticated but fun, he can live on the rocker until big boy gets into a bed someday!
THREE: This industrial metal crib is a great focal point, and can work for any gender
FOUR: The gray rocker is modern and can grow with him (think of those book reading snuggle times to come!)
FIVE: The Faribault wool throw is a classic, he can keep it with him for decades to come
SIX: This rustic dresser can grow with him into his “big boy” room. I always recommend using a dresser instead of a
changing table, less furniture to buy means more money on the rest of the room decor!
SEVEN: This modern arrow print fabric is the crib sheet, but if you love the pattern, you can have this fabric made into twin sheets
EIGHT: This fuzzy soft faux bear skin rug will make those middle-of-the-night feedings much more “bear”able (sorry!), and it’s only $29.99!
NINE: A great upgarded light fixture is always worth the money…he can keep this through his teen years
Seeing this adorable Woodland themed nursery (almost) makes me want another baby just so I can decorate a new bedroom! Maybe this could be the next theme for my little guy’s room (he’s six and loves playing in our woods-perfect!) Check out my next post where I keep the Woodland theme, but give it a girly change-up if you are expecting pink instead of blue…
