I think this is better than Christmas. The only thing better to an interior designer than planning their next project, is getting FREE stuff for their next design project!
Okay, let me start from the beginning…
Awhile back I was reading an amazing blog Home Stories A to Z, (visit Beth if you want tons of beautiful eye candy and gorgeous decorating ideas), and I saw that she was a judge on a contest coming up, sponsored by Delta Faucet. It was called the “MessMaker Pro” contest, and Delta was calling for baths and kitchens that had a serious make-over using some of their products.
The name intrigued me so I looked it up and had to laugh. I have the three cutest “Mess Makers” in the world (my three bambinos 4, 6, and 8) and we had recently made over their bathroom. Two things to know about my kids:
ONE: They have super imaginations
TWO: They love dirt, sand, mud, puddles…you get the idea!
When we remodeled their bathroom we knew it was going to be home to Barbie makeovers, cleaning out the “treasures” they found in the woods, and bathtime after trips to the beach. We also wanted to do their shared bathroom in a vintage inspired gentlman style, with a splash of cottage colors.
BTW, If you want to check out the WHOLE remodel story, you can find it HERE!
If you don’t believe me, here is what I literally found in our bathroom the other day-a pony party:
So I knew I had to enter. And I recently found out that our bath snagged the Grand Prize!!! Eek!!! Again, better than Christmas morning.
I couldn’t believe it when I got the email a couple of weeks ago. Even harder was keeping it a secret until now! The judges over at Curb Appeal Renovations, The Ugly Duckling House, and Home Stories A to Z were so kind to choose our space, and I’m so very grateful! My prize is $2,000 worth of gorgeous Delta plumbing. Like I just get to scroll through their amazing website and select what I want. I hardly know where to start (we have two more baths in sad need of makeovers!) Delta has been SO much fun to work with, and they just posted the official announcement over at their site, click to read the article below:
Best yet, we did the whole thing on a tight budget of just $2,225. Here is the before (get ready….)
Wow. That is just “something” isn’t it? And yes, those are sponge painted walls (although I sadly admit to sponge painting walls in my past-a shameful secret!). With a lot of research, creative finds, and OF COURSE the amazing and beautiful Delta Cassidy products, here was the final look:
As I told Delta, I fell in love with their Cassidy Faucet right away-it gave the vintage vibe I wanted for that beautiful pedestal sink, and honestly it was less than half the cost of a similar look from other brands. I was sold. To save money, we kept our neutral tiled shower as-is, but instantly updated the whole space by simply swaping out the outdated shower trim (remember the faux crystal look? Our shower was rocking that!), for the Delta Cassidy shower trim. It truly made SUCH a big difference. Like adding sprinkles to an otherwise plain cupcake.
I am so excited to share this news (finally!) with y’all. A big, over-the-top THANK-YOU to Delta, the judges, and the whole MessMaker Pro contest. Best yet, we truly love our bathroom and it works for our favorite MessMakers. And now I’m totally going to start my Shopping List. I hope my hubby is up for another bath remodel in the near future…
If anyone has any ideas of what I should add to “The List”, please share!
