BEDDING ROUND-UP MOOD BOARD: 16 NEW PIECES
Hi friends! Whoa, I have just come off a super exciting week of hosting my first ever 5 Day Design Challenge. Over five emails I sent all of my lovely readers 5 mini makeovers: from a command center, laundry room, flexible homework station, and so much more! It was a blast, and feel free to catch up and binge read all 5 Challenges right HERE. In fact it was Day #1: Update your Bedding with 4 Items in 20 Minutes that inspired this very post!
For awhile now I’ve been a lady lucky enough to hang with the amazing team from Remodelaholic. Cassity and the gang have created this fantastic site chock full of budget friendly design ideas, check them out when you are ready to get inspired! For my monthly post for them I wanted to continue this idea of updating your bedding for an almost instant bedroom makeover.
Bedding is the easiest way to makeover your bedroom.
If you aren’t a totally lazy bum like me and actually MAKE your bed 🙂 just a few items will transform your entire bedroom. So I created this BRAND NEW, totally free Mood Board and Shopping List for the Remodelaholic readers. Check out the entire blog post here, full of inspirational photos, How To’s AND the entire Shopping List for this Bedroom Mood Board right HERE!
I organized the Bedding Round-Up Mood Board into three design styles: Modern Farmhouse, Boho Chic, and Traditional. All you need is four simple pieces to get a cohesive look that is also easy to maintain!
If you like the Farmhouse Fixer Upper style:
Go with neutrals and simple patterns. Whites, grays, greiges, and creams rule here. If you want to introduce a pattern, try a ticking stripe or buffalo plaid!
If you like the Boho Chic Style:
I think the best Boho Chic rooms have a great layering of different textures and patterns. You will see a lot of black and white prints such as aztec or mudcloth prints (for that global flair), and lots of texturing layers like fringe or pompom. Pops of color are another way to show off this style, especially in bold rich colors such as navy, deep greens, and reds. Natural materials like rattan also rule here!
If you like the Traditional style:
Classic never goes out of style for a reason. A super easy way to achieve this look is use all-white bedding. It can be inexpensive, it is easy to clean, and you can pretend like you live in a luxury hotel. Add a monogrammed pillow for a touch of custom design. And, introducing a pattern or two can keep it from getting too boring, such as in this blue, white, and gray toned bedroom below:
And if you missed the post that inspired it all, here it is! For Day #1 of my 5 Day Design Challenge I re-created this gorgeous Serena and Lily bedding on a budget. Find the whole makeover plus all of the sources for it right HERE
Another huge thanks to the entire Remodelaholic team for giving me the chance to create this custom Bedding Round-Up Mood Board for them! Again, you can find all of the sources for everything you see + my 4 Step Formula to create the perfect bedding right HERE (or just click on the image below)
If you are one of my readers you have already gotten the super secret email about my BRAND NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH! The rest of y’all get to find out about it next week, but my readers also read about the killer discount I’m offering to them only on it. It ends July 3…so if you have no idea what I’m talking about, jump over quick as a bunny (as I often tell my kiddos) and see what the fuss is for yourself right HERE!
Happy Designing!
