Breezy Summer Bedroom Storage Ideas
Hi friend, welcome to Postbox Designs! Later this week I’m sharing a blog post on a mini makeover I did in my very own home. Two years ago we bought a tiny little lakehouse. In fact, it is so tiny that there are NO bedroom closets. So I have been limping along with under the bed storage (or just keeping my clothes in my weekend bag). But no more! So stay tuned for Thursday’s mini makeover that doubled my bedroom storage.
And as a little teaser, I created today’s Mood Board full of light and airy bedroom storage ideas. With summer being in full swing, I love all white rooms to keep things looking breezy.
8 White Home Decor Bedroom Storage & Updates
White Bedding (#1 and #7): The easiest way to update any bedroom design is new bedding. In my own bedroom, I only do white bedding-it is a classic and gives my room a hotel like feel, even when I’m in my grungiest sweat pants!
Light and Airy Bedroom Storage:
Portable Clothing Rack (#3)-This is the exact piece I am using in my own mini bedroom update (stay tuned), so I wanted to include it today’s Round-Up. Keep it looking classing with these hangers (#2)…and ditch those wire dry cleaner hangers I know you have hanging out in your closet!
Storage Bins (#4 and #5)-I can’t get enough of them, and if they have a lid: bonus points. I would use a mix of these white fabric storage bins (Item #4) and woven baskets (Item #5). I use similar bins on the top shelf of my closet.
Under the Bed Storage (#8)-Here in Michigan I definitely have “seasonal shoes”. Those cute summer heels are quickly replaced by Uggs once winter hits. I love maximizing the empty space under the bed for off-season clothes, like this shoe storage (Item #8)
White Laundry Storage (#6): This little white laundry room basket is so cute, I would keep it out in the open. I love its white, cottage look…that is practical too.

Pick Just One Area…
Storage can be pretty AND practical. So this summer take the time to organize just ONE area of your home. I hope today’s post gave you some ideas if you start with tackling the bedroom. Then reward yourself with a glass of wine out on the back deck when you are done.
And come back on Thursday when I share how I used Item #3 (that cute, modern clothes rack) in my own home. Life changer!
Cheers,
Kristin
