Glam Home Office Design: 2 Ways
Home Office Makeover via Online Interior Design
Hi Friends, if this is the first time you are joining me, my name is Kristin! I’m a wife, mama to three, and my idea of the perfect night is eating Cheetos in bed watching re-runs of the Gilmore Girls. My family and I have been having a crazy fun summer, and since luckily Postbox Designs is exclusively Online Interior Design, I have been working around all of our summer activities. And recently I got to do something I don’t get to do too often: work for a client in my hometown! I work with clients all over the country, but I just helped this local Michigan family with three custom designed rooms in their new-to-them home.
But before I show you this week’s Room Makeover, I have some special to share with you!
FREEBIE BONUS:
Girl Boss Free Home Office Design Plan: Create Your Own Glam Home Office for $800
I love the Girl Boss. I AM a Girl Boss myself. And we all need a place where we can get our work done…in quiet and in style. I created this week’s Home Office for a Mama who works her corporate gig during the day, and catches up at her Home Office in the evenings. I’m a Mom who works from home (usually barefoot rocking the messy bun). Maybe you don’t work outside the home, but need a landing place for paying bills, a hobby, or simply organizing your life.
So no matter what type of Girl Boss you are, I want to help you out today! I created this BRAND NEW FREEBIE in my Free Resource Library. It is a take on today’s office plan, but I shaved it down even more for a budget friendly $880 which includes everything you see. And today I want to share the Home Office I helped her design. She chose the Small Room Package for her Home Office design-which meant she got TWO mix-and-match designs. After I designed Home Office Design #1, I sent it to her for feedback. Then I took her thoughts and ideas, and designed Home Office Design #2. She can take her favorite elements from each, or just choose her favorite design!
Home Office Design Concept #1
My client wanted a Glam Home Office that was mostly neutral with some pops of blue. I suggested putting two of these white desks back-to-back to create a type of island so both she and her husband could have their own desk, paired up with these gray velvet upholstered chairs. A traditional looking buffet is the perfect place for storage, and to even hide a printer. Glam pops of silver such as the fan, sconces, and table lamp help add to the elegance of the room.
And the easiest way to add wall decor on a budget is to find Instant Download prints on Etsy, such as this grid of black-and-white botanical prints.
Home Office Design Concept #2
While my client really liked the first Home Office design, she wanted to see some different storage ideas for her second design. I gave her two suggestions for wall-to-wall storage in her office. She could use these gold etagere bookshelves for open storage OR these wood/gold tall cabinets if she preferred closed storage.
A glam gold and white wallpaper, barely textured curtains, dark velvet chair, and hints of gold all keep her Home Office design feminine, soft, and neutral. And for an inexpensive pop of color, I loved this agate print from good old Target.
Which Home Office Will She Choose?
With Postbox Designs I package all of her drawings, Shopping Lists, and material/paint samples into a Postbox. Then I mail her room-inside-a-box directly to her. From there she can order her entire room in an hour…over a cup of coffee in her jammies. She can just click and buy all of her items and have them sent directly to her doorstop. She can purchase and pull together her Home Office on HER budget and HER schedule. I can’t wait to see which way she will go, and maybe even get a peek myself!
Two Other Home Office Designs for your Dream Space
I loved how my client wanted an elegant, glam Home Office design. But I have designed tons of different styles (you can check them all out on my BLOG) or here are a couple more I think you will like!
This Colorado client wanted a modern-meets-glam Home Office with some dark colors to it. Her #1 requested was for navy built-in shelves (insert dreamy eyes here). You can check out the whole Home Office makeover, and see both designs right here:
