$1150 Farmhouse Living Room Makeover
Have you ever fallen completely in love with a room on Pinterest only to discover the furniture costs more than 10x your monthly income? Me too. In fact, for my job I always ask my clients to create a Pinterest board with images they love: it is my job to create the essence of those rooms to fit their lifestyle and budget.
5 Week Design Jumpstart: Week #4
This week is all about Living Room Design. And getting the look you want on a budget.
So today I am re-creating this gorgeous room from Joseph Parrell Architects on a budget, and when I say budget, I mean mind-blowing low budget:
I re-created this look for a mere $1150.
This gorgeous, light-filled room has a Modern Farmhouse Flair to it with details like bleached, rustic woods, natural jute rug, light tan sofas, and neutral patterned pillows. There are some pops of natural elements, matte black, and an overall comfortable, cozy feeling. And today I will show you how to re-create a similar look for fraction of the price.
But if you have missed the past three weeks of the 5 Week Jumpstart Program:
Every week I have been re-visiting some of my most popular posts and expanding on them with all new designs, tips, and information. But the best part is I created a new Design Freebie to go with each week, you can find them all right here:

Modern Farmhouse Living Room Makeover Mood Board
While I’m not trying to copy this exact Modern Farmhouse Living Room, I wanted to re-create the essence: the modern meets comfy Living Room with Farmhouse and natural details. Every item is uber budget-friendly, and either I can vet personally for them (I own that sofa myself and love it), or they got great reviews.
You can grab this Mood Board + The Complete Source Shopping List by clicking on the Mood Board below. They are both in my FREE RESOURCE LIBRARY (along with oodles of other Design Freebies for every room of your home):
